The tragic incident happened in a village in the city of Pragadavaram of Andhra Pradesh, India.

In particular, one of the ferocious roosters, whose nails were “spun” with iron spurs, escaped the owner and rushed to kick Rao’s chest. The injury was so severe that he died from losing too much blood.

Although it has been banned by the Indian Supreme Court since 1960, cockfighting is still a game ingrained in traditional culture in the countryside. When asked why he was passionate about the bloody sport, a resident told 7 News:

“Chickens won a few games to earn money to go to work all year, why not leave?

The reason, the cockfighters become more dangerous than ever because over the years, the players have found every way to “level” more sharp spurs for them. A fatal blow can cause the opponent’s chicken to fly head or guts.

Earlier in 2011, a man in California, USA, was also killed after a cockfight with his foot kicked a fatal blow at a chicken match.

The victim, Jose Luis Ochoa, was stabbed into the calf with the blade on the leg of the chicken, causing the person to lose too much blood. The man was taken to hospital but could not survive a 2-hour accident.

According to the coroner, the autopsy results showed that Mr. Ochoa was killed by a sharp wound and had a strong impact on his right leg. In addition, the delay in wound healing also contributed to the death of the victim.
