New images revealed by Netflix and Entertainment Weekly reveal some mysteries of the second season of ‘The Umbrella Academy’ and take us straight through a journey through time.

The photographs released by EW undoubtedly confirm that the Hargreeves brothers will return to the past in the new episodes, just as many had speculated when judging by the end of the first part.

The images reveal that, thanks to the powers of Number Five –interpreted by Aidan Gallagher–, the seven brothers were saved from the end of the world, after Number Seven made the Moon explode due to the misuse of their abilities.

Welcome to the 60s

According to what sources confirm, this second season will unfold in the year 1960 and will focus on the second volume of the Gerard Way comic series. The Hargreeves will arrive directly to the city of Dallas, however, due to the technical details that Five has in their powers, the brothers separate on the trip and stay in different parts.

However, the theme of this new season will be very similar to what we saw in the first: Five gathers his brothers to make sure to save the world from another apocalypse. On the other hand, these first images reveal new faces such as: Marin Ireland, Ritu Arya, Yusuf Gatewood, and new enemies played by Tom Sinclair, Kris Holden-Ried and Jason Bryden.

Netflix has already confirmed that the new season will premiere on July 31 and, to the fortune of the series’ followers, all the brothers will say present again. Although these first images only work as a sneak peek, we must admit that after almost a year waiting for new episodes, this is much better than not having any details.

Above all, because this means that the premiere of ‘The Umbrella Academy 2’ will not be harmed by the coronavirus pandemic, and not many productions can say that.
